Awards


The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA), organised the first edition of the National ICT Excellence Awards 2011.

This was to recognise the outstanding performance and contribution in the field of ICT by individuals and organisations from both the government and the private sector operating in the Republic of Mauritius, with 62 companies taking part.

The 1st Prize for "Most Outstanding ICT Individual" was awarded to Dhiruj Rambaran, Managing Director of Interweb Data Systems Ltd and Founder of Shoponline Ltd. This award recognises an individual’s outstanding contribution to the ICT field, which has had a positive impact on the socio-economic development of the country.






The BCS (British Computer Society) - Chartered Institute of IT (by Royal Charter) held its IT Industry Awards 2015 Ceremony at Intercontinental Hotel, Balaclava.

Shoponline.mu was 1st Prize Winner in the newly introduced "Technology Excellence Business IT Innovation Award"

Dhiruj Rambaran (Managing Director of Interweb Data Systems and Founder of Shoponline.mu) collected the Award on behalf of Shoponline.mu. Shoponline.mu is a complete National Retail E-Commerce System programmed entirely in Mauritius, hence why we won this award, which was presented by Mr Jos Creese, President of BCS UK (on the right) and Honourable Minister Etienne Sinatambou (far left), acting Minister for ICT and Innovation.







For the same British Computer Society IT Industry Awards 2015 (as above), Dhiruj Rambaran collected the second award, as Medallist, in category "IT Professional of the Year 2015.

The Award was presented to Dhiruj Rambaran by Jon Buttriss, CEO for BCS UK
